As the JBQ District Coordinator for Pen Florida, I want our children to have unwavering confidence in their faith in Jesus Christ. To accomplish this, as a District we will:

1. 1. Promote discipleship that nurtures children’s spiritual growth and biblical understanding. We want our children to develop a love and a hunger for God’s Word (Deuteronomy 6:4).
   2. Create a fun yet competitive environment that instills our quizzers with an unshakeable confidence. We want to bolster an Elijah generation that will be equipped to speak boldly about their faith in Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:15).
   3. Extend opportunities for JBQ fellowship that exceeds the traditional quiz season. We want to foster community across the district (Proverbs 27:17 & Hebrews 10:25-26).
   4. Encourage the natural progression of Bible Quiz from JBQ to TBQ. We want our children to continue to habitually study the Word of God through their secondary years as they venture into adulthood (Proverbs 22:6).
   5. Expand the JBQ ministry to everyone–whether in a church, school, or homeschool setting. The Gospel is for everyone, and we want everyone to participate. (Acts 2:39 & John 17:21-23)

Last season, our theme throughout the Pen Florida District focused Isaiah 43:1-13 as we learned that we are God’s witnesses. The prophet Isaiah wrote that God calls His people to both know Him and make Him known to others. The trials we experience throughout our lives are a means to which we testify about the goodness of God. Though God will not keep us from tribulation, he promises to help us through it so that others might believe.

For the 2025 – 2026 season, our theme is titled, “That They May Be One.” As we explore Jesus’ prayer in John 17, we will learn that to make Jesus known to others, we, as his followers, must be united in both love and truth. Through this unity, we will draw people to Christ so that they may be with him in Heaven one day.

The Pen Florida District is divided into six leagues, or sections, based on location. Each of these leagues has a different league coordinator who is responsible for communicating competition dates and locations. Though the Pen Florida District coordinator supervises each league, churches and coaches throughout the season communicate with the league coordinator for monthly competition information. Use the chart to determine which league your church quizzes in and contact the league coordinator.
